Speaking to The Times, she explained that bonding with her children had been a careful ‘well thought process’, as she put it:’ I would like to think, if you ask girls ten years from now, they would say it was a process well thought; I didn’t know them for a year, by the way. ‘

On how she spent time with them during this period, Christine continued: ‘Frank is away a lot, his mom could be away, I have them on my own.
“ It’s me going to violin recitals, doing their homework, doing bath time tonight and taking them to school in the morning; I’ve become that and we have our own little system.
They know that I am their little companion. I don’t want to be his mom. That was never even a thought.

‘So I’m really going to take it day by day, like any other new mom. People tell me, and I’d like to think I’m like that anyway, but do your best to relax and don’t push yourself too hard. ‘
‘Don’t always look at others and think,’ It works perfectly for them, why isn’t it for me? ‘ Take a break. I’ll take it hour after hour!
