In November, the Duke of Sussex was denied permission to place a wreath at the cenotaph in his name. Prince Harry made a personal request to Buckingham Palace, but the courtiers denied it on the grounds that he no longer represents the monarchy.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex resigned as senior members of the Royal Family early last year.

His Majesty took “two seconds” to make his decision on the crown matter, according to a source.

Prince Harry is believed to have been “deeply saddened” by the queen’s decision.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry moved to the United States in March with their son Archie.

In November, the Sussexes posted photos of themselves paying flower tributes at the Los Angeles National Cemetery.

Palace sources said His Majesty rejected the duke’s request and made his decision “in less than a minute” according to the Daily Mail.

A source told the newspaper: “Remembrance Sunday is sacrosanct when it comes to Her Majesty’s diary, it is one of the most important dates on her calendar and nothing is done without her knowledge.”

They added: “People were suggesting that the Palace’s reaction to what Harry asked was petty, but it was the Queen’s decision.

Since leaving his royal duties, the Sussexes have signed deals with streaming giants Netflix and Spotify.

Reportedly, your employment choices could affect the type of relationship you will have with the Firm in the future.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Going back would mean they would have to undo all the business ties that they have already made, and clearly Harry and Meghan don’t want to do that.

“Harry and Meghan are clearly where they want to be, and good luck to them.

“But his subsequent career choices have spoiled any chance of retaining even an almost official royal role.”

Royal commentators have urged the queen to remove the Sussex royal titles.

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan took to Twitter to criticize the couple for their “embarrassing” use of royal titles.

He wrote: “I think they are a couple of bland little spenders who exploit their royal titles for a large commercial profit without fulfilling the duty that comes with being a member of the Royal Family.

“It’s cheeky, shameful and the Queen should stop them from doing it by taking away the titles.”
