James Corden is reportedly preparing to leave the United States as he and his family feel ‘homesick’ and miss their relatives.
The 42-year-old actor was catapulted to world fame after debuting as the host of The Late, Late Show in 2015, taking on the role of Craig Ferguson.
With the immense popularity of segments like Carpool Karaoke, James has become one of America’s most beloved late-night presenters, but said on Wednesday that he and his family could choose to return to the UK when his contract ends in 2023.

James told The Sun that while he has “a couple of years” until his contract expires, he will discuss the possibility of ending his term with his loved ones as it is a “more important family decision.”
He explained: ‘It will be people at home whom we miss very, very much, who we long for.
I also feel that my wife and I have three small children, and they are three small grandchildren that we have taken from the people.
“This probably feels particularly magnified now during the pandemic, but I have an overwhelming feeling that our family has walked to the beat of my drum for a long time.”
In discussion: The presenter (pictured with his wife Julia) said that he and his family may choose to return to the UK when their contract ends in 2023 as it is a ‘more important family decision’.

James and his wife Julia have been married since 2012 and share three children, son Max, nine, and daughters Carey, six, and Charlotte, three.
The Gavin And Stacey star first came to America when his stage show One Man Two Guvnors moved to Broadway in 2012 after a successful run in the West End.
Thanks to his success on The Late, Late Show, James has landed various roles in Hollywood films such as Into The Woods and The Prom, and has also hosted the Tony Awards.

Earlier this month, the British comedian admitted that he initially had doubts about signing for the role.
James, who moved to the United States with his family before filming the talk show in 2015, said he was concerned that the new concert would end his acting career.
Speaking to News Corp Australia’s BINGE guide on Sunday, he said: “ I was worried that I would end my acting career by taking over the Late Show.
‘I asked my dad about it and he said, “If you build a show where people can see all the different things you can do, as long as you don’t stay too long, it will only improve your acting career.” ‘
