Gary Lineker added to Sam Allardyce’s misery in response to his comments about Liverpool after West Bromwich Albion lost 5-0 at home to Leeds United on Tuesday.
Allardyce claimed that he had “dominated” defensive football after a 1-1 draw at Anfield two days earlier, as Jurgen Klopp was left frustrated.
But two days after the draw, former England manager Allardyce saw his team fall into a tough loss at The Hawthorns when Leeds scored four times before the break.

And Lineker tweeted during the first half: “Another great goal from [Leeds]. Now they have 3 against [West Brom] in 35 minutes. Big Sam is right, Klopp couldn’t do that. “

After the loss, Allardyce said: “Leeds are a tremendous team, I think they are brilliant.
“But we have seen such a performance against Liverpool [at the weekend] And then tonight we can’t defend ourselves properly
“Leeds invaded us, they won 5-0 and they deserved it.
“I was surprised to see such a poor performance and we have to work hard to correct it. Consistency is everything to us. We can’t seem to get consistency to attack and defend well.”
