MORNING ARSENAL FANS
Arsenal are reportedly interested in a move by Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey if they lose Hector Bellerin to Barcelona.
According to The Mirror, Barcelona’s presidential candidate Joan Laporta, favorite to win the elections, “wants Bellerin.”
But the Gunners may already have a replacement in mind in the form of Brighton’s right-back Lamptey.
In other news, teenage forward Folarin Balogun could be leaving the Emirates.
The 19-year-old’s contract in North London expires at the end of the season and according to The Athletic, Liverpool are ready to jump.
A move to Germany is also an option, with Balogun free to open contract negotiations with foreign teams as of January 1.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are reportedly unlikely to rekindle their interest in Houssem Aouar in January.
Athletic say that despite not being able to take the Lyon ace to the Emirates in the summer, they are prepared to pursue other goals.
Barcelona’s playmaker Riqui Puig is a possible option as the 21-year-old is falling out of favor with Ronald Koeman.
They claim the Gunners have searched for the young man numerous times.
And finally, Arsenal confirmed Gabriel’s positive test for the coronavirus, ruling out the defender for two Premier League matches while isolating himself.
The 23-year-old Brazilian will miss matches in Brighton on Tuesday and West Brom on Saturday.
But 15th-ranked Arsenal say center-back David Luiz and midfielder Willian tested negative, despite “feeling bad.”
The pair will resume outdoor training on Thursday, having lost Saturday’s 3-1 home win over former club Chelsea.
