The shivering Scots will experience a winter blast of snow and ice later today, forecasters say.
The Met Office has issued an ice and snow yellow weather advisory for most of the country, including the Lothian, Strathclyde, Grampian, Tayside and Fife.
The warning is in effect from 6 p.m. tonight until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29.
Scots can expect icy surfaces with a “little snow” in some places. It comes after Storm Bella hit much of the country.
A Met Office statement warned: “Some slip and fall injuries on an icy surface.
“Probably some patches of ice on some untreated roads, sidewalks and bike lanes.”
Scots are advised to clear any driveways and driveways to avoid mishaps.
Meteorologists confirmed that some areas affected by the cold snap will see one to three centimeters of snow and more on higher ground.
Residents living in areas affected by cold weather have been warned of travel disruptions and an increased risk of accidents due to icy conditions.
A statement from the Met Office said: “Some roads and railroads will likely be affected, which means that travel times are longer.
“There are likely ice patches on some untreated roads, pavements and bike paths, increasing the likelihood of accidents and injuries.”
