We may not have had a snowy Christmas, but the Met Office predicts that Berkshire will see snowfall before the end of the year.
A yellow snow and ice weather advisory has been issued throughout the week, but some areas will see more than others.
The warning was implemented for Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, but some areas in West Berkshire also received a warning for Tuesday.
Although Berkshire is unlikely to become a winter wonderland, snow and ice could cause major traffic and travel problems.
The warning for most of the county begins at 10 am on Wednesday and continues until 6 am on Thursday.
The warning has been given to most areas of southern England as winter weather really takes hold.
Areas like Reading are expected to feel like minus 4C, but the wind will drop considerably after Storm Bella.

Reading
The reading could see snow as early as tomorrow morning, with a 50 percent chance between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. The snow won’t return until fairly late in the week, Thursday night. According to the Met Office, there is a 50 percent chance of snowfall. The township also has a 50 percent chance of snowfall on Friday at 6 a.m. M. The lowest temperature of the week is 0C.
First Snow: Tuesday, December 29 at 5 a.m. M.
Windsor and Maidenhead
People in Windsor and Maidenhead may be disappointed to learn that they may not witness any of the snow this week; the only snowfall in the district is expected overnight on Thursday, between midnight and 6 a.m. No more snow is expected, and the lowest expected temperature is 0 ° C, but it will feel like minus 4 ° C.

Bracknell Forest
Like Windsor and Maidenhead, only Bracknell night owls will be able to see the snowfall. Snow is only expected between midnight and 6am Thursday, and no more snow is forecast for 2020. The lowest expected temperature is 0 ° C, but it will feel like minus 4 ° C. The winds will remain relatively calm throughout the week, after a few stormy days the weekend before.

West Berkshire
Unlike the other districts, West Berkshire areas such as Hungerford will have a yellow weather warning on Tuesday, as well as Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Slough is going to be a bit warmer than the rest of Berkshire this week but is forecast to hit 0 ° C on Thursday morning. Rain on Wednesday night could turn to snow in the early hours of Thursday, with a 50 percent chance of snowfall between midnight and 6 a.m. This will be followed by sunny intervals throughout Thursday.

Wokingham
Like most places in the county, snow is forecast to fall in Wokingham on Thursday morning. Rain is expected starting at 9 p.m. Wednesday, but there is a 40 percent chance that it will turn to snow in the early hours. The snowfall will be followed by intermittent sunny spells throughout Thursday. As elsewhere, Wokingham is not below 0C.
