David De Gea
Sloppy with his feet and then his footwork went bad for Harvey Barnes’ tie. Leicester took advantage of his discomfort with the ball at his feet. 5
Victor lindelof
A surprise pick on the right back and he looked as awkward as he was unconvincing. He was injured in the second half. 5
Eric Bailly
Jamie Vardy surprised him in the early stages, but he managed reasonably well on his first outing since Tottenham thrashed in October, but left Vardy uinmark for the leveler. 6
Harry maguire
Clumsy for Barnes’s draw with a punt that did Bruno Fernandes no favors. He led United impressively amid his dominance, but left Vardy unattended. 6
Luke shaw
Not much was tested on defense as Leicester targeted Lindelof and could have claimed an assist with a free kick. United’s most consistent player. 7
Scott McTominay
Rather aggressive, but United couldn’t control the ball in midfield until Paul Pogba entered. McTominay held the fort. 6
Fred
Admonished by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for going away with his usually penetrating passes. He played through Rashford brilliantly for a great opportunity. 6
Bruno fernandes
Right handed with the first goal to a loony tie. He turned down a free header to make it 2-1, but managed to put United back ahead. 6
Daniel James
He did well for goal, but did little more against a higher-class opponent than the standard Leeds Championship defense. 5
Marcus rashford
Stunned for wasting an easy chance to make it 1-0, but had a one-on-one shot repelled by Kasper Schmeichel at 1-1. 6
Anthony Martial
He embarked on a brilliant early career but offered little else in a performance for which he is synonymous. He scored a one-on-one but was offside. 5
Subs
Paul pogba
It unleashed United’s best period. 6
Axel Tuanzebe
Solid after replacing Lindelof. 6
Edinson cavani
Excellent dismissal from Fernandes. 7
Manager
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Lindelof on the right-back was a predictable bad decision, but his substitutions helped United increase their dominance and win the game. 6
