Mauricio Pochettino is close to becoming the next Paris Saint-Germain coach.
The talks with the former Tottenham, Southampton and Espanyol manager are said to be at an advanced stage and it is now about trying to reach a full agreement between the parties.
Thomas Tuchel was sacked by PSG on Thursday, four months after leading them to the Champions League final.
Pochettino, fired by Spurs in November 2019, is set to beat Thiago Motta, with whom PSG have had contact in recent days, in the position, according to Heaven in italy.

He said Sky sports in November, when asked what his next role would be: “I don’t know. I’m not closing any doors. I learned when I was very, very young, [Pochettino’s former coach] Jorge Griffa used to say: ‘Mauricio, football is going to dictate your path.’
“And I’m waiting to feel what is the right project for us, what is the right way to go.
“My energy is full, I would love to be involved in the game but at the same time I need to understand that right now is a good time to wait.
“We have to wait for the correct project and for sure that football will bring what football wants and we have to be open and accept or not.”

Speaking about MNF in November, Mauricio Pochettino said he was ready to return to management.
Tuchel’s departure comes four months after he led the club to their first Champions League final where they lost to Bayern Munich in Lisbon.
The German replaced Unai Emery with a two-year contract in June 2018, and signed an extension last May that would have seen him remain in Paris until the end of the current campaign.
However, in October there was a public sequel about player recruitment with the club’s sporting director, Leonardo.
Tuchel said: “We lose too many players in free transfers. It’s too much, too much. We can’t ask this team for the same thing we did last season.”

The next day, Leonardo expressed his disapproval of Tuchel’s comments, saying “you have to respect the people who are above you.”
“I didn’t like their comments, neither did the club,” he said.
“We have to understand the moment we are going through. If someone is not happy, it is easy, we can talk. But if you decide to stay, you must respect the people who are above you.”
PSG beat Strasbourg 4-0 in the league on Wednesday night, and is next in action against Saint-Etienne on January 6.
