Some Arsenal fans may regret having wished for Thomas Tuchel to replace Mikel Arteta as coach.
The German strategist is looking for a new job following surprising news that he has been fired by Paris Saint-Germain, however, on Christmas Eve.
Tuchel leaves PSG despite leading them to the knockout phase of the Champions League and sitting one point behind Lyon in the Ligue 1 table.
Such is his reputation in the game that it may not be long before the former Borussia Dortmund boss is back on the bench.

According to BILD, the 47-year-old has already decided that he wants to undertake a project in the Premier League.
One of the possible destinations could be the Emirates Stadium with Arteta under great pressure after a disappointing start to the season that has left the Gunners in 15th place in the Premier League table.
And some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their approval to the idea of Tuchel replacing the Spanish.
However, comments from the German’s past are highly unlikely to sit too well with the fanbase and could make those awaiting his appointment regret that wish.
Ahead of Dortmund’s Europa League round of 16 clash against Tottenham Hotspur in the 2015/16 season, Tuchel spoke highly of the North London team.
“When I was a child, in my garden, when I played [football] I always was [playing] as a Bundesliga team but there was a game where I played like Tottenham Hotspur because I really liked the name, ”he said.
“I didn’t have a photo and I didn’t know they were playing in London, so playing them on two legs was very special.
“What I didn’t know as a child is what I felt today and yesterday, that there are so many friendly people here.
