The 2020/2021 Carabao Cup final was delayed from February to April in the hope that more fans will be able to attend Wembley on the new date.
The game was originally scheduled for February 28, but will now be played on April 25, starting at 4 p.m.
In confirming the decision, the EFL said: “It is the goal of the League to organize the final with the highest possible attendance and therefore the decision has been made to move the final from its original date of Sunday, February 28, 2021 to then in the year.
“The number of fans allowed will depend on current government guidance and it is hoped that moving the date later in the year will give clubs and their fans the best opportunity to attend in person.”
Wembley Stadium to host the final
The decision follows the introduction of new level four coronavirus restrictions across much of the South East and East of England over the weekend.

At levels three and four, spectators cannot attend games.
The quarterfinals will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the four matches live on Sky sports.
Wednesday, December 23 7:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Brentford will host Newcastle before defending champions Manchester City travel to Arsenal. On Wednesday, Tottenham will visit Stoke before Everton take on Manchester United at Goodison Park.
