Pep Guardiola has supported Manchester City to rediscover their scoring touch in the Premier League.
And Guardiola has also downplayed suggestions to rest Kevin de Bruyne in a busy holiday month.
“No, Kevin is so important to us that he will not rest,” Guardiola said. “He rested in the Champions League before and right now we need him.
Asked about how to solve his scoring problems, Guardiola added: “Insist, insist, insist.
“If 25 shots is not enough, create more. Insist, be positive, one day it will break.
“Be aggressive, put more players there and when we can score and gain confidence it will return.
“Last season we scored more goals than Liverpool. We fit in too much but (now) we have to score more, everyone knows it, but it doesn’t depend on a specific player.
“Everyone can score, it depends on the mentality and the will.
“We have to play better. We create chances and we can play better.
“Lately we couldn’t do some principles perfectly and we have to get back to this. It is not only the responsibility of the strikers ”.
