Here’s your morning Arsenal recap for Wednesday December 16.
Guardiola urges the gunners to continue with Arteta
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is urging the Gunners to stay under pressure from manager Mikel Arteta, despite the club’s current problems.
On Sunday night, the Gunners fell to their sixth loss in their last eight Premier League games, losing 1-0 at home to Burnley.
Despite the current problems facing the club, Guardiola is urging the club’s hierarchy to stick with his former apprentice.
Guardiola said: “Sometimes when a club comes from a period that is not so good, sometimes it needs time. I would tell the Arsenal management, I have no doubt about their quality and ability to put Arsenal in the place that they deserve to be.

“Arsenal couldn’t have a better coach to lead this club this year and next, nobody is better than him.
“He is one of the best coaches I have ever worked with and seen directly.
“For his personality and his commitment and his love for his club, because if it weren’t for the love of his club he would still be here.”
