LINDA Nolan has revealed her grief upon receiving the news that her cancer had spread to her liver, leaving her terrified of dying.
After a visit to the oncologist, the star, who has intractable secondary breast cancer, admitted that she sobbed after getting home from her appointment.
Despite accepting the setback in her fight with cancer, which has been going on for 14 years, Linda insists that she wants to stay for as long as possible Christmas.
The 61-year-old singer told The Mirror: “[The consultant] he turned to me and said the CT scan had shown something in my liver again. I asked him if it was cancer and he said yes.
“It’s scary, I’m not going to lie. I try to be optimistic and positive, but I had a really bad day when I came back.”
Putting on a brave face for her sisters, Linda explained that she held her ground until a private moment saw her break down in tears.
“I told my sisters that I was fine, but when I walked into my house, I cried,” she said. “I needed to cry because I am very afraid of dying.”
Linda’s cancer journey began in 2006 with breast cancer, followed by cellulite and lymphedema in her arm in 2007 and secondary pelvic cancer in 2017.
This March he received the news that his liver was now affected by cancer and he underwent chemotherapy until September.
The star had to wait two months to know if the treatment had been affective or not, but unfortunately more tumors were found.
You are now taking oral chemotherapy, which consists of taking 10 tablets a day for as long as you need to take them.
“I don’t want to know if I’m 18 months, two years old or whatever,” Linda explained of her decision not to get a prognosis. “All I want for Christmas is to be there for a few more Christmases.”
Linda remains optimistic and enjoys her freedom by taking her dog Betty Boo, a gift from her sister Coleen, for a walk every day.
The star also admitted that she started dating again, after losing her husband Brian in 2007, and after meeting someone through an app, she went for a walk to meet each other.
Linda is part of the family singing sensation The Nolans, which has sold 30 million records worldwide and featured her and her sisters Bernie, Anne, Denise, Maureen and Coleen.
The clan has a television show, At Home with the Nolan, which currently focuses on Linda and her sister Anne’s cancer journeys.
