Lewis Hamilton has made a spectacular return to action after his ordeal from the coronavirus by participating in practice prior to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The Mercedes driver was given the go-ahead amid much secrecy by local authorities following his firing.
And he arrived at the track, accompanied by the precious bulldog Roscoe, wearing a striking black and white outfit, fisherman’s hat and mask.

“The Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team is pleased to confirm that Lewis Hamilton will drive for the team at this weekend’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix,” the world champions said in a statement Thursday night.
Lewis tested negative for Covid-19 on Wednesday before completing his period of self-isolation in Bahrain. This allowed him to travel to Abu Dhabi on Thursday afternoon and he tested negative upon arrival.
Therefore, Lewis has completed the protocols required by the FIA for his entry to the paddock and will be able to participate in the weekend of the race. “George Russell will return to Williams Racing for the final event of the 2020 season.”
