Homeless man kicked in the face by a young bully while sitting on the pavement

A young bully kicked a homeless man square in the face while sitting covered in a sleeping bag in the center of town.

The violence was captured like a dash cam and has since gone viral, sparking outrage and demands that the perpetrator be captured.

The clip shows three men, one of them with his face covered, on bicycles with the main assailant standing on the sidewalk and angrily protesting with the victim.

The homeless man is sitting on the sidewalk in a sleeping bag outside a Tesco store on Dale Street.

The hooligan responsible is talking to the man who is sitting helplessly with his arms tucked into the sleeping bag, at one point gesturing angrily on his face.

The lout momentarily looks away and then turns and delivers a brutal kick right at the homeless man’s face.

The gang of three then bike away.

A woman, with a man, witnesses the assault and covers her face with her hands in horror.

Police said this afternoon that they were aware of the video and were trying to contact the victim and catch those responsible.

On social media, one person said: “Someone I know just witnessed this absolutely VIL behavior in a homeless man outside Tesco on Dale Street.

“He needs to be caught and turned over to the police because this is not right!

“If anyone recognizes him or has any information about him, PLEASE report it to the police.

“He can’t get away with it !!

“The man was left bleeding and probably with a broken nose.

“Worst of all, his hands are on the blanket, so he couldn’t defend himself.

“This is not the way to fight, he can’t get away with it, because if it hadn’t been recorded he probably would have.

“Please share this video so this boy can be identified.”

A Merseyside police spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that we are currently investigating a video circulating on social media that appears to show a man being attacked outside the Tesco Express store on Dale Street in Liverpool city center.

“Investigations are currently underway to establish when the incident occurred, identify the man to verify that he is safe and sound, and identify the people who are present in the video.”
