It has been a good week for Liverpool Football Club.
A win against Ajax secured qualification for the Group D Champions League before the Wolves were swept away at Anfield in front of 2,000 returning fans.
And to top it all, the players are beginning to recover from injury.
That’s right, whisper under his breath, knock on wood and cross your fingers, but Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita took on the Wolves to offer Liverpool some light at the end of the tunnel in terms of the Reds’ disabled list.
Even better for Liverpool is that they are in the privileged position of not having to risk anyone for the trip to FC Midtjylland after securing first place with that win over Ajax.
So what should Jurgen Klopp do with his team? We take a look at your options.
Injury dilemma
There may be no need to risk Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita against the Danes, but there is an argument for both men to start the game.
After all, it will take minutes and Liverpool have a choice of five substitutes, so their playing time could be managed with care.
If not, they can keep taking a breather and wait for Fulham to return to the team.
Klopp could be prudent in choosing one of the two, allowing Neco Williams to stay on the right back and continue to build confidence as he deploys Keita in midfield to bring him up to speed.
Great possibility of additional profit
It’s the time of year when speculation about the future of players abounds.
And it’s fair to say that Divock Origi is one of those players, having endured a frustrating 2020 in Liverpool.
FC Midjylland could provide one last chance for Origi to show why he can be useful during Liverpool’s busy Christmas schedule and underline why the Reds shouldn’t rule him out just yet.
Things are not so drastic for Takumi Minamino, but the Japanese international won’t want to waste any more time in his efforts to make an impact at Anfield.
Minamino is approaching a year at Anfield and has yet to really take off. This season has been especially frustrating after a brilliant start in which he scored his first goal for the Reds against Arsenal at the Community Shield.
Both players hope to start on Wednesday.
Kostas Tsimikas will almost certainly play if he is fit and will want to put in a better performance after being substituted in the loss to Atalanta.
Opportunity calls the young
The rest of the Liverpool squad is likely to be made up of young players who have a chance to shine.
With Nat Phillips ineligible, Rhys Williams will start as central defender and Billy Koumetio could hope to get the go-ahead alongside him.

‘Billy the Kid’ is highly rated by Klopp and was singled out as one of the stars of the summer, but it remains to be seen if the Reds boss decides to go with such a seasoned bottom line.
Jake Cain and Leighton Clarkson have been on Liverpool’s bench in recent weeks and are hoping to get into the fray in midfield.
Layton Stewart hopes to be in the conversation for a place in Liverpool’s three forwards.
