Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has confirmed that the Manchester United midfielder wants to leave because he is no longer happy at Old Trafford.

The French midfielder admitted he was struggling at United earlier this season, when he referred to the international break as a “breath of fresh air”.

And now Pogba’s agent, who has spoken regularly about his client’s future in the past, has confirmed his intentions to leave at the next possible moment.

In an extensive interview with Tuttosport, Raiola said: “I can say that it is over for Paul Pogba at Manchester United.

“Paul is not happy with Manchester United because he can no longer express himself in the way he would like and as he is expected to do.

“Paul needs a new team, a change of air. He has a contract for the next 18 months and will expire in the summer of 2022.

“However, I think the best solution for both Pogba and Man United is to move on to the next transfer window.

“If not, the Old Trafford club knows they risk losing him in a free transfer, as it is not Paul’s intention to extend his contract.

“The Manchester United board knows the risk of losing Pogba for free given that the player has no intention of prolonging himself.

“If someone doesn’t understand that, then they don’t understand football. In any case, blame me if Paul leaves.”

Raiola has spoken regularly about Pogba’s future in the past.

The news came on the eve of Manchester United’s Champions League Group H clash with RB Leipzig in Germany.

Pogba was photographed flying with his teammates and is in contention to play.

The 27-year-old, who rejoined Manchester United in 2016 in a deal worth £ 89m, the club’s record, has made 13 appearances in all competitions this season.
