Bruno Fernandes issued a warning to Marcus Rashford after the forward hit the post in Manchester United’s win over West Ham.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team won 3-1 at Upton Park after a 14-minute comeback in Saturday’s Premier League clash.
And their victory was largely due to the introduction of Fernandes and Rashford at half-time after United fell behind after a terrible performance in the first half.
Following Tomas Soucek’s goal after the Red Devils had fallen asleep for the corner, United were a different perspective in the second half thanks to the creativity of Fernandes and the movement and energy of Rashford.
After Paul Pogba tied with a long-range rocket, Mason Greenwood gave United the lead with an exquisite return shot from an Alex Telles cross.

Fernandes was involved in both goals, and seemed to have set up Rashford for a third with a sublime pass before the striker launched his shot into the post.
Rashford was going to score his goal eventually, scoring after a superb ball over the top of Juan Mata to cap off United’s comeback.
But ultra-competitive Fernandes made it clear to his teammate after the game that he didn’t like having an assist stolen.
The midfielder posted a photo of him and Rashford celebrating on his Instagram story, along with the caption: “If you miss an opportunity like that again, you know what will happen.”
Fans were delighted with Fernandes’ relentless perfectionism after the Instagram post was shared on Reddit.
One supporter wrote: “Honestly, his competitiveness is maniacal. It’s crazy how a winner he is. He’ll drag the team to the top if need be. Contagious personality.”
Another said: “Take a look at the replays of Greenwood’s goal. Fernandes celebrates like crazy as soon as the ball goes in.”
And one fan compared him to United icon Roy Keane, whose intense will to win was legendary.

“I’ve been waiting for a player like him since Keane. Win or die trying,” wrote the fan.
Fernandes had initially been benched for West Ham’s clash with big games against RB Leipzig and Manchester City.
But his impact after being hired for the second half shows how important he is to United.
