Shane Richie has narrowly missed the finale of I’m A Celebrity after being banned from the show tonight.

This meant that Vernon, Giovanna and Jordan were confirmed as finalists for this year and will fight for the crown tomorrow night.

Joining Ant and Dec, Shane admitted that he was full of “mixed emotions” upon leaving the show, but the pair assured him that he could still receive food from their finalists.

The EastEnders star asked anyone participating in the show next year to “embrace” the experience, adding, “You can’t fake it here.”

Asked if he really was the “phantom dribbler”, he insisted: “I promise you it’s not me … when they talked about it I couldn’t stand up.”

He went on to accuse Vernon Kay of being the culprit, as he was ‘8’2′.

Asked who would like to win the show, Shane replied, “I’d love to see Mumma G win … she’s been there since the beginning.”

For the first time ever, a King or Queen of the Castle will be announced as the 2019 Queen of the Jungle, Jacqueline, ready to pass her crown to the winner.

The first to leave the ITV program was Paralympic Hollie Arnold on Friday, followed by Ruthie Henshall on Sunday.

Thereafter, there was a series of double eliminations, which saw Beverley and Victoria, Jess and Russell and then Mo and AJ on Wednesday.

Along with hosts Ant and Dec tonight, AJ addressed the tense moments between him and Shane Richie on the pan washing situation.

“If you’re going to do a job, do it right,” he said, and when asked if that had frustrated him, he said, “Maybe, I’m not going to lie!”

When asked if he had made his family proud, Mo said, “I hope I did!”

“I did the best I could, but I really enjoyed it,” he continued. “It has been an incredible journey, I wouldn’t change a thing.”

* The I’m A Celebrity finale airs tomorrow night at 9 pm on ITV
