The Health Department has reported 11 other coronavirus-related deaths.
Thursday’s dashboard update shows eight deaths occurred in the last 24 hours and three deaths outside of this reporting period.
The death toll in Northern Ireland now stands at 1,026, says the DoH.
And these figures also show a daily increase in positive Covid-19 cases by 456.
Figures for the past seven days indicate an increase in cases of the virus by 2,646.
As of Thursday morning, there are 38 confirmed coronavirus patients in the ICU.
Meanwhile, the Northern Ireland Executive will meet on Thursday to discuss current restrictions.
A two-week breaker has been installed affecting hospitality, close contact services and retail.
The Executive may not make a decision today and will have to re-examine the discussion early next week.
Justice Minister Naomi Long said there is a “strong argument” that some relaxations could be allowed due to a drop in transmission levels.
She told the BBC’s Nolan Show: “We have to listen to the advice they give us.
“We will meet as executives later today, we will listen to that advice, we will have the presentations coming from the medical director and the scientific director about where we are right now, and we can have that discussion in the round about what happens.”
She added: “We are currently in a very tight set of restrictions, and there is certainly a strong argument that I think we could see some loosening.”
