Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shouldn’t be doing anything but ‘getting his coat’.
That’s according to former Crystal Palace president Simon Jordan, who doesn’t think the Norwegian is the right person to take Manchester United forward.
Solskjaer was initially appointed head of United on a temporary basis, taking over from José Mourinho when he was fired in 2018.
After impressing during his brief stint in charge, Solskjaer was officially named head of the Red Devils, but Jordan doesn’t believe in the two years since he has improved United.
And Jordan thinks it’s time for United, which were beaten 3-1 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night, to find someone else.

Jordan told Jim White in talkSPORT: “I wouldn’t have used it in the first place because I think it represents mediocracy.
“He’s a completely decent football person, but Manchester United don’t need a completely decent football person, they need an excellent football person who is capable of taking them to the next level.
“You can wonder who it could be and you can say that the potential of Louis van Gaal and José Mourinho, being two elite coaches, didn’t work out, well.
“I question it because they won things, but of course Manchester United fans at the time had a different view of what Manchester United should be like.”
“Now we have been two years, not two minutes, not twenty games, two years into a term in which he received a pass at the end of last season, which has distorted the vision of what Manchester United really is.
“They are a very mediocre team with some very expensive players who are not performing at the level that Manchester United should have.”
When asked what Solskjaer should be doing, Jordan replied, “I don’t think he should do anything other than get his coat.
“I haven’t seen anything besides some games at the end of last season to tell me this guy is going to catch [Jurgen] Klopp, this guy gon ‘catch [Pep] Guardiola, this guy is going to win something significant besides maybe a league cup. “
