Sarah Harding breaks the silence on the battle with cancer: “I am being as brave as I know”

Sarah Harding has updated fans on her battle with breast cancer, as she admitted that “things are tough” but that she is being “as brave as she knows.”

It’s the first time Sarah has spoken since she first revealed that she had been diagnosed with advanced stage cancer in August.

Taking to Instagram, the singer wrote: “Hello everyone. Thank you very much for all the messages of love and support that I have received since my last publication. Everyone has been very kind and reading your comments and DMs has been a great source of strength for me.

“I cannot deny that things are difficult at the moment, but I am fighting as hard as I can and being as brave as I know how.”

The 39-year-old Girls Aloud star also revealed that she has been working with editors on a book about her life story.

Sarah said she finished her autobiography, titled Hear Me Out, this week and it will be released in time for Christmas.

The book is set to trace Sarah’s childhood in Ascot to winning Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 with her Girls Aloud bandmates and her later years in the spotlight.

She revealed: “In September, the lovely folks at Ebury Publishing asked me if I’d be interested in writing a book about my life story. It came at such a good time for me, as it gave me something fun and positive to focus on. while I’ve been stuck home between trips to the hospital for treatment. I’m almost done now and this week, Mom and I have been looking at old photos to choose which ones to include. It’ll be out after Christmas and I’m so proud of it. like it.

The singer revealed that she had been looking at old photos with her mom for the book.

Sarah first opened up about her diagnosis in August after baffling fans with her apparent disappearance from the limelight.

Along with a photo of her wearing a hospital gown, Sarah wrote: “Earlier this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and a couple of weeks ago I received the devastating news that the cancer has spread to other parts of my body.

Paying tribute to her mother Marie Hardman, she added: “My amazing mother, my family and my close friends are helping me through this.

“I want to thank the wonderful NHS doctors and nurses who have been and continue to be heroes.”

Sarah has been living with her mother Marie in Manchester while undergoing intensive treatment.

The devoted Marie is said to have been Sarah’s mainstay for the past few months and invited her daughter to move in so she could help care for her.

Sarah’s Girls Aloud bandmates have also been sharing their support during tough times.

In the immediate aftermath of Sarah’s announcement, Cheryl posted a heartbroken emoji on her Twitter.

Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh chose to respond directly to Sarah’s post.

“I love you !!! You have always been able to perform miracles when necessary !! I am here all the time and always will be !!” Nadine said.

While Kimberley shared: “My heart is broken. You are so strong and brave and we are with you every step of the way.”

Nicola Roberts tweeted: “Needless to say, this is a hoax. @SarahNHarding you are so loved and supported. “



Sarah’s Girls Aloud bandmates shared their support after her shocking announcement

The five had been reported to be in talks for a Girls Aloud anniversary reunion before Sarah fell ill.

After a winning spin on CelebrityBig Brother in 2017, Sarah had chosen to live a quiet life, ditching social media and taking her website offline.

His last public appearance was in March 2018 when he attended the National Film Awards in London.

While sharing his devastating news, he said that now was the right time to ‘share what has been going on’.
