Man United vs Southampton Player Ratings: Fred and Marcus Rashford Win Well – Samuel Luckhurst

[ad_1]

David De Gea

The first goal did not reflect well on him and he was not well prepared for James Ward-Prowse’s free-kick, which resulted in injury. He was injured. 3

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Another sub-par performance and even when United were dominant, Wan-Bissaka was not present in their attacks. 5

Victor lindelof

Marcus Rashford was inexplicably tasked with tagging Jan Bednarek in the corner when he should have been a central half. He had an easier second half. 6

Harry maguire

Like Lindelof, Maguire may wonder why he wasn’t at Bednarek. Southampton’s speed caused problems for Maguire. Laudably directed. 6

Alex Such

Careless with his passing and did not look comfortable dealing with the proactive Kyle Walker-Peters. 6

Nemanja Matic

He started off smoothly and played a key role in United’s attacks until Southampton matched the intensity of the visitors. 6

Fred

Purposely ironed and it looked comfortable to the right of a diamond again. 7

Donny van de Beek

Key to United’s early dominance, even though they were on the left and made several fouls. 7

Bruno fernandes

He should have buried an easy chance of Alex McCarthy’s save at 1-0. He rewarded United for their dominance by scoring in the second half. 6

Mason Greenwood

Deflected shot with the goal open at 0-0 and was denied by McCarthy. A missed opportunity in every way: he was substituted at half-time. 4

Marcus rashford

He could have had a penalty in the first half and missed a great opportunity in the second, but he was offside. He continued to the end and crossed to Cavani. 7

Manchester United pulled off a spectacular comeback in Southampton on Sunday, thanks in large part to Edinson Cavani’s two goals from the bench.

Bruno Fernandes’ goal put Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side on track to rally from 2-0 at St Mary’s, giving United a third consecutive Premier League victory.
