In the last 24 hours, there have been another 12,155 cases of COVID-19 and 215 deaths of people who tested positive for the virus in the UK.
The number of cases is down from 15,871 cases recorded on Saturday, and deaths are down from 479 as well.

The government said that, as of 9am on Sunday, there were another 12,155 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK.
It brings the total number of cases in the UK to 1,617,327, while the latest figures bring the total number of COVID-19-related deaths to 58,245.
The latest figures come after new data on Friday showed that the R-number (the virus’s reproduction rate) has dropped between 0.9 and 1 across the UK.
Around 99% of England’s population will fall into the two hardest levels when the second national shutdown ends on Wednesday.
Approximately 32 million people, covering 57.3% of England, will enter Tier 2, and 23.3 million people, 41.5% of the population, will enter Tier 3.
On Saturday, Boris Johnson said that new levels of coronavirus have “expiration” clause or expiration date – on February 3, while trying to fight back against a backlash from Conservative MPs.
The prime minister has angered some of his party with a plan to impose strict restrictions on much of England when the national lockdown ends.
More than 60 Conservative MPs have expressed dissatisfaction with the tiered ranking or said they are unlikely to support the measures when it comes to voting, according to a tally by Sky News.
