Mike Tyson turned the years back against Roy Jones Jr when the two boxing legends drew their unique and special exhibition fight in Los Angeles.

The two former world champions and Hall of Fame wrestlers met at the Staples Center on Saturday night.

Iron Mike ended his brilliant and often controversial professional career in 2005 with Jones, now 51, still active in recent years fighting for the last time in 2018.

15 years after hanging up the gloves, the 54-year-old Tyson showed some fleeting flashes of the trademark speed that at his peak made him one of the most dangerous and feared fighters in history.

Tyson began the fight with stronger dominant procedures from the middle of the ring, hitting Jones to the body and head and putting together some neat combinations, albeit landing without the trademark power of yesteryear.

Jones struggled to match Tyson’s superior movement and was visibly looking more tired as the fight progressed.

“This is better than fighting for championships,” Tyson said of the clash, which raised money for various charities. “Now we are humanitarians. We can do something good for the world. We have to do this again.”

“Body shots definitely took their toll,” Jones said. “It’s something to take the blows that Mike throws. I’m fine with a draw. Maybe we can do it again. “
