Arsenal have to spend one more night in Norway after their return flight was canceled
Foggy weather in the UK forced the club to change its plans after they were due to return to London on Thursday.
They made the decision not to travel back to avoid potentially having to change the airport they flew to, possibly one outside London, due to the weather, which would have extended their trips home.
Instead, Arsenal headed back to their hotel, now flying back on Friday morning and training in the afternoon before Sunday’s game against the Wolves.
The delay is not considered a major issue, especially as it means that they will no longer be returning home in the early hours of Friday morning.
The Gunners will now return home tomorrow after securing progression to the Europa League round of 16
Although he has added one more night to a European trip that was already longer than usual.
Arsenal had to fly in on Tuesday rather than Wednesday to allow sufficient time to comply with Norway’s covid guidelines, which required them to provide negative test results in the country before receiving clearance to train and play.
Second-half goals from Nicolas Pepe, Reiss Nelson and Folarin Balogun earned Arsenal a 3-0 victory in Molde, leaving them with just one point to secure first place in Group B.
