The White House has approved Joe Biden to begin receiving daily intelligence reports from the president, an administration official said.
The newsletter, called the President’s Daily Digest, consists of a collection of classified intelligence reports that are prepared every day to provide the American leader with updates on major security threats around the world.
This is yet another sign that Donald Trump is moving away from challenging Biden’s transition of power, and it is a day after he told his team to cooperate with the incoming administration.
He said on Monday that he had given the green light to the head of the General Services Administration (GSA) to proceed with the change.

The president-elect of the United States has been naming his best team, including many firsts in American history.
The GSA is responsible for many of the basic services that enable the US government to function, from building and transportation management to IT, financial services, supply chains, and human resources.
Despite this change, however, the incumbent has still vowed to continue the fight against the elections, having repeatedly refused to accept and admit that he lost.
Trump has claimed that widespread electoral fraud skewed the bottom line earlier this month, but has never presented evidence.
Earlier Tuesday, the president-elect began announcing the first of his cabinet elections, which included several firsts for the United States.
Avril Haines was presented as the first woman to hold the position of director of national intelligence, while Alejandro Mayorkas, a Cuban-American, will be the first Latino and immigrant to lead the Department of Homeland Security.
John Kerry, the former secretary of state, has been appointed as the country’s first climate envoy, a full-time position solely focused on addressing climate change.
Other appointments include Anthony Blinken as secretary of state, Linda Thomas Greenfield as US ambassador to the UN and Jake Sullivan as national security adviser.
“It is a team that reflects the fact that the United States is back, ready to lead the world, not withdraw from it, sit again at the head of the table, ready to face our adversaries and not reject our allies, ready. to uphold our values, “Biden said during his announcement.
He then vowed to ditch the “America First” strategy followed by his predecessor and instead move closer to working with America’s allies.
“Let’s get that work started,” he said, adding, “To heal and unite America and the world.”
