DETECTIVES investigating a rave that turned into violence when police tried to shut it down have released images of 38 people they want to interview.
Hundreds of people were estimated to have attended the rave, which took place five days before the start of the second confinement.
Det Superintendent Lisa Simpson of Avon and Somerset Police said: “This event occurred while gatherings of more than 30 people were illegal and the country was absorbing news of the national restrictions that would soon be introduced. Understandably, the selfish actions of those who thought such an event was a good idea have left most law-abiding people outraged.
“The officers found themselves dealing with an intolerable hostile situation and deserve credit for the courageous and professional manner in which they handled it.
“The aggressive and dangerous antics of those who attack the police are unforgivable and unacceptable.”
Agents were quickly deployed to the site on October 31 to prevent more people from accessing the site, but when a cordon was installed, an estimated 500 to 700 people had accessed the site.

In total, 12 people have been arrested and two organizers have received notices of fixed fines of £ 10,000.
Police have released images of 38 other people they want to speak to regarding the rave and the resulting disorder.
Det Supt Simpson said: “We have made efforts within Avon and Somerset and other forces to try to establish who these people are in the hope that we do not need to publish these images in the public domain. However, despite this, we still don’t know who the people we want to talk to are, so now we post pictures of them in the hope that the public can help. ”
