Police have cordoned off a main street in central Cardiff.
Queen Street is currently filmed after a large police presence was reported Saturday night.
In sharing a video of the scene, a Twitter user described the street as “full of police cars and ambulances.”
Another passerby said there were about “50 emergency services vehicles” on the street.
WalesOnline has contacted the South Wales Police for information.
Witness Sophie Zermatten, 27, said: “I heard a lot of police sirens, so I went to see what the noise was. There was a large area cordoned off by the Capitol Mall and another nearby area.
“There were many police cars and officers. It seemed like the incident was over when I got there, but it was clear that something big or serious had happened from the large number of police officers involved. “
Ms Zermatten, who is studying for a master’s degree in International Journalism, also repeated what several other people had reported: hearing a “loud roar” in the area before the police invaded the city center.
“I thought they were fireworks when I first heard them,” he added. “I was on Senghenydd Road when I heard them.”
