HARRY and Meghan struck their Frogmore Cottage giveaway deal behind the back of high-level royalty, sources claimed yesterday.
The couple have formed a new “Fab Four” with Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, who can now start their new family on the vacant property.
It came after direct conversations between the two couples, who have been great friends since Meghan started dating Harry four years ago.
Eugenie, 34, and Jack, 30, are expected to be pregnant and “take care of the house” during the New Year, when they expect their first child.
Harry and Meghan, who live in California, insist that Frogmore Cottage remains their home in the UK.
But our exclusive story about his delivery to Eugenie has sparked claims that they could stay away forever.
A source said: “Initially, the older royalty were surprised by the idea of Harry and Meg letting Eugenie and Jack move in.
“Obviously the Queen was told after the couples talked about the plan.
“But it’s a done deal between Harry, Meghan, Eugenie and Jack. There is a close bond between them. “
Palace connoisseurs say they are the new “Fab Four,” a term previously used to describe the Sussexes and William and Kate.
Harry paved the way for the deal in September after announcing that they had refunded the £ 2.4 million taxpayers bill for the Windsor cottage renovations.
A spokesman for Buckingham Palace said: “Frogmore Cottage is the private residence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and as such any arrangement is their own business.”
