Teen stabbed ‘knocked on doors for help’ after being stabbed in the head, leg and back

A teenager reportedly knocked on doors for help after being stabbed multiple times.

The 18-year-old was attacked on Beaconsfield Road in Seaforth at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

He had been stabbed in the head, leg and back and left bleeding in the street before he was found and rushed to hospital.

A police cordon was quickly installed at the site, near the Rawson Road junction, when police launched an investigation.

People living in the area contacted ECHO to say that the child had been assaulted and that they tried to seek help.

A neighbor said: “A teenager was stabbed at the corner of Rawson Road and Beaconsfield Road in Seaforth.

Forensic officers were seen working inside the cordon overnight as witnesses were asked to come forward.

In a statement, a Merseyside police spokesman said: “We are investigating following reports that an 18-year-old man was assaulted in the Seaforth area tonight, Thursday 19th November.

“We were contacted at 8.35pm to report that the teenager was assaulted on Beaconsfield Road and sustained head, leg and back injuries consistent with the use of a knife.

“He has been taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

“An investigation is underway and CCTV and house-to-house investigations are taking place in the local area.”

Chief Inspector Derek Riley said: “The investigation into the circumstances of what happened is in the early stages.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the Beaconsfield Road area tonight and saw someone or something suspicious to contact us.
