I’m a celebrity … Get me out of here! viewers were “cowering” when celebrities started mentioning tonight’s episode.
Shane Richie told his camping buddies about the time he and Tom Cruise went karting together until 5 a.m., but viewers weren’t impressed by the name.
Shane told celebrities, “When I was in the West End doing Boogie Nights in 1999, Nicole Kidman and Tom were filming Eyes Wide Shut.
“And there was a big indoor go-kart track near the BBC and one time I was … I got a phone call from Charlie, who used to run it, and he told me to come alone and he was going through a real public divorce in that moment “.
He continued: “I was being followed by the press, so I showed up and walked in and said sit down, I have to tell you that Tom and Nicole are here. Tom and Nicole said, he said he wanted to.” I know if he can compete against you because you love karting. “
“We ran until 5 in the morning. He was a fan of speed. He didn’t care about the danger.”
“That’s why he did his own stunts,” Vernon added.
Shane continued: “But what happened was that the press had followed me out of this warehouse, Tom, my God, did someone tell them I was here? I said they were following me. So they realized in that period of time I was famous.
“Anyway we started chatting, just a couple of times and we went for a drink, we talked about things, but especially karting.”
Vernon then told fellow campers about the time he met Brad Pitt at Marks and Spencer.
“I had my face in the vegetable and I saw this figure approaching the door and I recognized it right away and I thought it’s okay, that’s so and so and I looked and it was, it was Brad Pitt. And he came in and kept walking and you could see the whole world go … “
He continued: “And that same afternoon I went to my favorite DIY store to buy some pieces and as I crossed the street, Kate and William stopped at their Range while I crossed the street. What a day.”
“Angelina used to go to our Sainsburys,” he added.
But the name drop seemed to raise some eyebrows among viewers at home, who flocked to Twitter after admitting they were “embarrassed” by the stories.
One fan was not very impressed and wrote: “Celebrity name falls on #imacelebrity who would do that.”
Another agreed, writing: “This name that appears in I am a celebrity embarrasses me.”
While a third added: “I hate when they make this name spouting shit I’m a celebrity. I’m so embarrassed.”
A fourth wrote: “Here comes Shane with the loose name! Nobody likes a Shane show! #Imaceleb #imacelebrity”.
