Olivier award winner Ruthie revealed before her debut that she wouldn’t be afraid of any creepy-themed lawsuits because the royal family once pranked her.

She dated Prince Edward on and off for five years when she was younger and is still good friends with him, even attending his wedding to Sophie, the Countess of Wessex.

She explained how she was with royalty in Scotland when, ‘Charles and Edward got on her when she was cooking with them!’

She recalled: ‘They told me there were ghosts in this particular place and when I went to the bathroom with a candle, since there was no electricity, they waited for it to come out and then they jumped on me!
