A man and a woman have been charged with the murder of a baby.

James Dean Clark, 31, and Helen Jeremy, 26, are charged with killing five-week-old Sean Clark in early 2018.

They are due to appear in Bristol Magistrates Court today.

Sean died on a property on Neads Drive in Warmley, between Bristol and Bath in South Gloucestershire, on January 14 of that year.

Avon and Somerset Police added that the couple have also been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child.

Clark, of Neads Drive in Warmley, and Jeremy, of Russell Avenue in Kingswood, have been detained prior to court appearances.

A police spokesman said today: ‘We have charged two people with the murder of a five-week-old child in 2018.

James Dean Clark, 31, of Warmley and Helen Jeremy, 26, of Kingswood, have also been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child.

They remain in police custody and will appear today in Bristol Magistrates Court.

“The charges relate to the death of Sean Clark, who died at an address in Warmley on January 14, 2018.”
