BORIS Johnson said today that he feels “fit like a butcher dog” after he was forced into self-isolation when he met a deputy who now has Covid.
The prime minister nearly died after contracting the coronavirus earlier this year.

NHS Test and Trace told you yesterday that you must isolate yourself for 14 days.
In a video tweet, he said this morning that he “feels great” and is “full of antibodies.”
He also responded to criticism for not wearing a mask when he met with a group of MPs, including Lee Anderson, who later tested positive, saying they were all “following the rules of social distancing.”
The prime minister said the UK now has “two giant boxing gloves to beat the disease”: massive testing and the possibility of a vaccine, which he hopes can be released “before Christmas”.
“FIT LIKE A BUTCHER DOG”
Mr. Johnson said: “Hello friends, the good news is that NHS Test and Trace is working more and more efficiently.
“The bad news is that I have been pinged and I have to isolate myself because someone I was in contact with a few days ago has developed Covid.
“It doesn’t matter that we’re all doing social distancing, it doesn’t matter that I’m fit as a butcher dog and I feel great.
“It doesn’t matter that I’ve had the disease and I’m full of antibodies, we have to stop the spread of the disease.
“One of the ways we can do this is to self-isolate for 14 days when NHS Test and Trace contacts you.
“I do it with a big heart, full of optimism and confidence.

“Because don’t forget, we not only have this technique to interrupt the transmission of Covid.
“But now we also have two giant boxing gloves with which to punch our enemy into submission, massive lateral flow tests, rapid response tests of a type where this country is leading the way.
“We already have tens of millions of these tests, and of course the prospect of a vaccine that I hope we can start distributing to those who really need it, perhaps even before Christmas.
“That is the way forward, I am absolutely confident that we can beat this disease.”
The prime minister has no symptoms of coronavirus, but did come into contact with a MP who tested positive.
“BURST WITH ANTIBODIES”
Last night he tweeted: “I have no symptoms and will work from # 10 as I continue to lead the government’s response to the pandemic.”
He also stated that he feels “better than ever” and “full of antibodies.”
Scientists say that testing positive may not guarantee immunity against the virus again.
The dramatic development comes at a torrid time, following the resignations of his advisers Dominic Cummings and Lee Cain ahead of the decisive Brexit trade talks this week.
But Boris is expected to address the nation while in isolation.
He was contacted by Test and Trace after meeting with Tory MPs, including Lee Anderson, in Downing Street on Thursday. Anderson has since tested positive.
The prime minister told the conservative WhatsApp group last night: “It doesn’t matter that I feel good, better than ever, or that my body is full of antibodies because I already had the damn thing.
“The rules are the rules and they are there to stop the spread of the disease.
“Will this slow me down or in any way impede my work for the next few days? Of course, no.”
An image from Thursday shows the prime minister and Mr. Anderson without face masks and apparently not six feet apart.
Mr. Anderson’s wife, who belongs to the protected group, also tested positive.
