Properties in Merseyside are selling within 24 hours of being listed, and local realtors say the market has been “buoyant” after the first closing ended.
The home sales boom is considered to be due to a combination of factors such as the stamp tax break, people having more free time due to the closing, and others getting tired of their current environment because they work from home.
Several agents in Merseyside continue to see increased interest and some really quick deals.
Hannah Naughalty, sales and leasing negotiator for Karl Tatler agents, told ECHO: “The market is so dynamic right now, houses are selling faster than we can get them to market.”
“All of these buyers kept looking through the closing with no properties to go on the market, so when we reopened, the market was booming.
“They then announced the brilliant news about the stamp duty holiday (until the end of March), which certainly helped to help as well, as people were saving what could be thousands of pounds on their purchase.
