Strictly come dance has aired one last performance by Nicola Adams and Katya Jones following their unfortunate departure from the show.
Earlier this week it was announced that the Olympic boxer would have to withdraw from the BBC dance competition because her professional partner Katya tested positive for COVID-19, although she is asymptomatic.
However, the couple had previously filmed an additional performance before exiting the show and it screened on Friday night. Strictly come dance BBC Children in Need segment.
The duo danced to Walk the Moon’s ‘Shut Up and Dance’ as part of a campaign that challenged viewers to learn a dance routine alongside the Strictly cast and pros.
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman called the performances “amazing things,” while Bruno Tonioli remotely joined in giving the dancers and audience a 10.

Among the dancers was Rylan Clark-Neal, the Strictly: it takes two presenter who also filmed his Children in Need segment before had to isolate himself for being exposed to the virus.
Unfortunately, the broadcast of this CIN segment came just over 24 hours after the BBC confirmed that Nicola and Katya would have to leave the show.
Because Nicola has advanced a few weeks in the competition, Strictly come dance Producers will also not allow him to return next season because he would have a competitive advantage.

“We announced before the series indicated that if someone tested positive for COVID they would be out of the competition,” the BBC said.
“If someone has to miss a week, it’s called goodbye and everyone has goodbye. But contestants can’t miss more than a week.
“They are not allowed to re-enter the competition after they have participated in the first episode Jamie [Laing] he was allowed to return because he was injured before he started training and appearing on the show. “
There will be even more commotion this weekend when Anton du Beke joins the judging panel as a temporary replacement for Motsi Mabuse, as he isolates himself after an urgent trip to Germany.
