Police broke into a Scottish pub that allegedly broke Covid-19 restrictions after Scotland defeated Serbia last night.
Police say the Dunfermline bar was still serving punters at 1.20am after Scotland’s victory in the UEFA Euro 2020 final playoff.
A 53-year-old man was charged with culpable and reckless conduct.
The police kicked the patrons out of the Kirkgate pub and warned the others not to break the rules.
Area Commander’s Chief Inspector Paul Dick said: “There are now clear regulations that apply to all licensed facilities in the Fife area, and I urge all homeowners to abide by them.
“Officers will visit licensed facilities throughout Fife to verify that they are operating safely within current guidelines and anyone caught breaking the rules will be held accountable.
“Anyone with information or concerns about a licensed establishment in their area can contact the Scottish Police on 101.”
