TVs were removed from a pub after a video of gamblers celebrating Scotland’s victory over Serbia appeared on social media.
An ongoing investigation after a video of fans celebrating Scotland’s historic victory inside The Draft Project pop-up bar in Aberdeen allegedly showed them breaking Covid-19 rules.
Aberdeen City Council has asked the pub to remove all of its televisions.
It comes as footage believed to have been taken last night at The Draft Project shows fans mingling and hugging after Scotland scored a goal.
Aberdeen remains on Level 2 of the coronavirus restrictions and the rules state that no more than two households can mix in pubs and all patrons must be off the premises by 10.30pm
A spokeswoman for the Aberdeen City Council said: “There is no legal mechanism for the Licensing Board to revoke an occasional license that has a maximum duration of 14 days.
“The occasional licenses are requested every fifteen days.
“However, Aberdeen City Council Environmental Health and Business Standards officials have sent out a guidance notice on the Draft Project in Aberdeen.
“The direction includes a requirement to take steps to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 and remove all televisions in The Draft Project.”
Scotland’s police launched an investigation after the footage was posted online as bettors enjoyed the team’s qualification for the delayed Euro 2020 championship.
Police said there were no arrests or fixed penalty notices issued in connection with the alleged incident.
Chief Inspector David Howieson said: “We are aware of the images circulating on social media after the Scotland game last night.
“Officers were on patrol in the city center throughout the night and attended the facility in question, where they supported staff who expelled several customers after a spontaneous reaction to Scotland’s first goal.
“The police are working closely with the clearance and environmental health teams of local authorities to investigate all the circumstances.”
