Liverpool are sweating in a new coronavirus test, which will determine whether star forward Mo Salah should be quarantined for 10 days.
The forward was routinely tested under protocols after joining his country Egypt for international service this week, and was found to be positive for Covid-19.
But the Reds already had two players test positive, but they were later found to be virus-free on a second test, and protocol states that a second check is required.
The Egyptian FA came forward by announcing that Salah had tested positive for the virus in a statement issued Friday afternoon, but then deleted that update within an hour.
It is understood that they had not retested Salah at that stage, and a further update later simply confirmed that “three players from the Egypt and Togo teams tested positive” and the players would be tested again “to determine their position. in participation ”.
Salah will obtain the results of the second test before his national team plays for Togo on Saturday night.
If he also tests positive, he will be forced to undergo a 10-day quarantine, which would mean that he will definitely miss the top of the Premier League clash with Leicester on November 22.
But there is still no clarity on where Salah should be quarantined, raising fears at the Anfield club that he may be out of the game for longer.
Current government guidelines allow footballers to use travel aisles when playing, to avoid quarantine.
But if Salah is forced to stay in Egypt for the next 10 days, it is unclear whether those rules would continue to apply, even though he returned home to fulfill his international obligations.

It has been an extremely interesting start to the season for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
The title defense got off to a shaky start when they overcame a seven-goal thriller against Leeds, before going on to seven conceded in a beating of Aston Villa.
Virgil van Dijk’s season ended with injury in a 2-2 draw at Everton, leaving the title favorites much less secure in the back, especially with Alisson’s concern about injury.
But there is no slowdown in what will be a busy season, with Klopp making sure his men keep up with him as they fight for more titles.

Liverpool will seek clarification on the matter, and it is highly likely that they can return to Merseyside immediately, with isolation precautions, or return after 10 days and play immediately, in the Champions League tie with Atalanta on November 25, under current regulations.
But there is a slim chance that it could be ruled that he should be quarantined for 14 days WHEN he returns to the UK, which would be a nightmare for the Reds.
That would make him miss FIVE games and would be a serious blow, although such a decision is considered highly unlikely.
