Teen dies after shooting ‘in cold blood’ in Stockbridge Village

A 19-year-old man died after a fatal shooting in Stockbridge Village tonight.

Emergency services were called to Boode Croft, a residential cul-de-sac in Stockbridge Village, around 6.30 p.m. Thursday for reports of a shooting.

When paramedics arrived, the 19-year-old was found bleeding and injured on the ground, but sadly the victim could not be saved.

Merseyside Police launched a murder investigation after the incident.

Detective Inspector Tony O’Brien said: “The investigation is in its early stages and extensive investigations are underway to establish motive and identify those responsible.

“This was a cold-blooded attack on a residential street that took the life of a young man and tonight a family is mourning his tragic loss. The people responsible for this attack knew exactly what they were doing and needed caught.
