The most recent government data shows that another patient who tested positive for coronavirus died in Devon.

According to NHS England, one person died yesterday (Sunday, November 8) at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, raising the total number of people who have died there, after testing positive for Covid-19, since the start of the pandemic. to 51.

In the Southwest region, four new deaths have been recorded today, including that of Exeter.

Across England, 167 new deaths have been recorded today, bringing the total number of confirmed hospital deaths in England to 34,663.

A full NHS statement reads: “Another 167 people, who tested positive for Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals in England to 34,663.

“The patients were between 23 and 97 years old. All but five (49 to 77 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

“The date of death is from November 1 to 8, 2020.

“Their families have been informed.”
