Street fight footage shows mothers fighting after illegal children’s party

When the Cheshire police responded, their questions led to the discovery that a children’s party had been held the night before.

The argument is believed to have been related to that party, which police said took place on Friday night.

A Cheshire police spokesman told ECHO that officers flocked to the Hough Green area around 9.40am on Saturday following reports of disturbances.

He said: “The officers attended and spoke with two women, both from different homes, who were arguing on the street.

“While interacting with the couple, they revealed that they had attended a party the night before. Subsequently, both women received notices of fixed fines.”

Two women who fought on a street in Widnes were fined for violating lockdown restrictions when police discovered they had attended a children’s party.

The issue between the couple first came to light on Sunday, when police detailed the incident on social media.

A statement posted by the force’s Twitter account for the Widnes area said: “Yesterday we issued fines to six people in Widnes for flagrant violations of lockdown regulations.

“We don’t want to prevent anyone from having fun, but we all need to play by the rules and help reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

“We will always participate, explain and encourage people to follow the regulations, but sometimes it is necessary to take action to enforce the law.

“Two women were fined in connection with a children’s party that was held in which people from different households participated.

“We found out about the party when we talked to the women about a fight they had had on the street.

“Two other women and two men were fined in connection with another incident.

“All from separate homes, they had met in one floor.

“Fortunately, the vast majority of residents adhere to the rules and we urge them to continue to do so.”
