US Elections: Georgia Says ‘There Will Be a Recount’ As Joe Biden Prepares For No Limit Victory

Georgia elections officials declared today that “there will be a recount” as the state prepares to give Joe Biden a victory without limits.

The final result of the key transition state may not be known until late November or early December, after the Democrat took the lead.

Biden is currently just over 1,000 votes ahead of Donald Trump in Georgia, a state that cast nearly 5 million votes, with only about 4,000 votes left.

If Georgia wins, that will give Biden 16 crucial votes for the Electoral College, guaranteeing him the office of president.

But Georgia law allows either party to request a recount if the margin is less than 0.5%, and a Trump campaign source told CNN they would do so.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger told reporters: “With such a small margin, there will be a headcount in Georgia.

“The final count in Georgia at this point has huge implications for the entire country.

“The stakes are high and emotions are running high everywhere. We will not allow these discussions to distract us from our work. We will do well and defend the integrity of our elections. “

Counting can only be done after the first round of voting has been certified.

Gabriel Sterling, the state’s Voting System Implementation Manager, said “we should know by the end of November” who won the Presidency in Georgia.

But he couldn’t guarantee that it would drag on even later until a strict deadline in mid-December.

Contrary to Donald Trump’s unsubstantiated claims of fraud, Sterling said he was “not seeing any widespread fraud.”

Joe Biden is on the cusp of the presidency

But he said: “When you have a narrow margin, the little little things can make a difference.

“Then, everything will have to be investigated to protect the integrity of the vote. Our office intends to do that.

“We are literally seeing a smaller margin than a large high school.”

The delay is unlikely to delay the call about who will be the next president of the United States, unless, of course, all the major states in dispute also end up counting their votes.

If Biden wins Georgia and another state, he would still be named the winner of the election and president-elect, although that could be undone later if a recount reverses the result.

Biden beat Trump in Pennsylvania this afternoon, whose 20 Electoral College votes would be enough to win him the presidency on his own, without Georgia.
