Joe Biden arrives at the Queen Theater in Wilmington, Delaware for a campaign briefing
Donald Trump claimed that the election is “rigged” as Joe Biden closed the gap in Georgia as the final tally hits the wire before the final result. With about 14,000 ballots to count, Trump leads by 1,797 votes.
As a statement on the undecided status looms, Trump redoubled his claims of voter fraud as the US presidential election appears to be slipping out of his hands.
The Trump campaign has provided no evidence for its unsubstantiated claims that absentee ballots were cast fraudulently. States like Georgia, Nevada and Pennsylvania have taken longer to call because of absentee ballots, but that’s simply because workers take longer to count those votes, not because of “voter fraud.”
With absentee ballots taking longer to count than in-person ballots, it appeared that Trump had a strong advantage in states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia. But Americans who voted by mail tend to lean toward Democratic candidate Joe Biden, with those states turning back to the candidate as they enter.

‘Why do we listen to the people who lost?’: AOC attacks McCaskill over election criticism
After a disappointing election night, Democrats in and out of power debate where the party should go from here. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had some harsh words when former Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill said on MSNBC that the party had focused too much on certain cultural and identity issues.
On Wednesday, McCaskill, a relatively conservative Democrat who lost her seat in 2018, told MSNBC that this strategy allowed Republicans to eliminate blue voters.
“The Republican Party very cleverly adopted cultural issues as part of its main theme,” he said. “Whether it’s weapons or issues related to abortion rights in this country, or things like gay marriage and the rights of ‘transsexuals’ and other people that we as a party have tried to’ care for ‘and making sure we are treated fairly, as we circled those issues, we left some voters behind and the Republicans took revenge. “

Secret Service to Increase Biden Protection Ahead of Possible Acceptance Speech in Delaware on Friday
Joe Biden will gain a greater Secret Service presence in anticipation of a possible victory in the presidential election, according to The Washington Post.
Citing two people familiar with the plans, the Post reported that the Secret Service will send reinforcements to Delaware on Friday as its campaign prepares for the outcome of Biden’s victory.
The campaign alerted the Secret Service that Biden would continue to use a convention center in Wilmington for at least one more day, where he could give an important speech on Friday.
While the added security wouldn’t equate to the full protection detail of an elected president, the outlet reported that it brings him closer in that direction.
