TUI has canceled all flights from England and Wales as of Thursday 5 November.
The news comes after England is scheduled to enter a second lockdown from the same date, and this will include a ban on international travel.
Meanwhile, anyone currently living in Wales cannot travel abroad unless it is for a ‘reasonable excuse’ (a vacation does not count).
In a statement on its website, TUI explained that it will not operate any flights or holidays departing from England or Wales until December 2, 2020, when the England lockdown is expected to end.
The company said all affected customers will be contacted and offered options that include a booking incentive to modify their vacation, an ATOL-protected refund credit memo with a booking incentive, or to cancel and receive a full cash refund.
Under the new blocking restrictions, the government has banned holidays abroad, as well as overnight stays and holidays away from main residences in England (you can get full details on the government website).
There is no international travel ban for those living in Scotland, although residents are urged to avoid booking holidays, as travel restrictions could change on short notice, including quarantine rules.
