Premier League players showed their support for the appeal of the Royal British Legion ahead of Remembrance Day this weekend.
Both the Manchester United and Arsenal stars sported poppies on their jerseys, which will be used to raise funds for this year’s appeal.
However, some fans on Twitter noted that Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic was not wearing a poppy on his jersey.
Matic has previously explained why he doesn’t use poppy on Instagram.
The Manchester United star wrote: “I fully recognize why people use poppies, I fully respect everyone’s right to do so, and I have full sympathy for anyone who has lost loved ones to conflict.”

“I hope that everyone understands my reasons now that I have explained them and can focus on helping the team in the games that lie ahead.”
