Martin Keown believes that José Mourinho’s “childish” behavior towards Tottenham players is “not healthy”.

Mourinho was not impressed by his team’s performance in the 1-0 loss to Royal Antwerp on Thursday and was openly critical of his players after the game.

Lior Refaelov scored the only goal of the game early in the first half and Spurs were unable to respond, despite Mourinho turning to Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Heung-min Son at halftime.

But the trio of stars didn’t make any real difference and they didn’t get a shot on goal after the break.

Mourinho was furious after the match and posted a photo on his Instagram page, captioning a solemn photo of himself: “Bad performances deserve bad results. I hope everyone on this bus is as upset as I am. Training tomorrow at 11 a.m. M. “

Owen Hargreaves praised Mourinho’s outspokenness in his post-match interview, but Keown disagreed.

He said, “In the locker room surely? I’m not happy with it being so public.

“Maybe he didn’t say anything [in the dressing room]. We heard that he didn’t say anything and just went off and left the players.

“I don’t think my respect for the coach will grow. Some of those players would have been injured at half-time when they were removed, such as Dele Alli.

“You feel it right? Maybe my career is over at Spurs. But it is part of a collective, it can happen. I don’t think the players who came were better. “

When Hargreaves asked if he would follow his manager on Instagram, Keown replied, “Well, I’m not going to follow him, but it’s like, is this how we’re going to communicate?

“If you want to talk to me, talk to my face. What are you doing posting things?

“When he was 3-3 against West Ham he apparently didn’t talk to the players about it for four or five days, but he said a lot to the media.

“These are messages and I just think, keep them at home. It is a bit rude, sometimes childish what you are hearing.

“Because the players have to keep their mouths shut but he can say what he wants publicly. I prefer to keep it in the locker room.

“If I’m not good enough, I’ll accept it. But I want to work hard to get back to the team, let’s stay healthy. I don’t think that’s healthy. “
