A young mother of two who was found dead in her home was “full of life” and had a “heart of gold,” her devastated family said today.
Tributes have been paid to the very popular Megan Morrey, 21, who died at her Norris Green home in August.
The Holly Lodge Girls’ School alumnus was remembered for her “loving” nature and described as a “fantastic mom”.
Today her own mother, speaking on behalf of the family, told ECHO: “Megan was full of life, always adventurous, a karaoke queen, singing and joking, extremely sentimental.
“She was so loving, she would do anything for anyone.
“Megan was a fantastic mother who idolized her two children and had so many friends.

“Hundreds of people attended his funeral wearing custom t-shirts, people were very surprised.
“It’s just tragic, you just don’t know what’s going through someone’s mind.”
The 21-year-old had returned home on August 7, after seeing her ex-partner, and spent time on Face Time and WhatsApp before sending him a message indicating she was upset.
Her mother and sister came to her home because they could not contact her and found that she had unfortunately died.
Today, at Megan’s investigation in Kirkdale, Coroner’s Assistant David Lewis concluded that she had committed suicide.
Megan, who previously lived in Tuebrook, leaves behind two young children.

The family tribute added: “Megan was so loving, even her elementary and middle school teachers came to the funeral.
“The funeral director at Anfield Crematorium said it was the largest funeral he had ever seen, with hundreds of people on the streets.
“Megan had a heart of gold.”

Coroner Assistant Lewis told her family that the 21-year-old “had so much to live for,” adding: “It may have happened in the heat of the moment when the balance of her mind was not quite right.
